1. The Conviction of Cosmo Senoj

What is the state of this world?
Is it only a frame of mind?
We’re caught up in the warfare,
Caught up in heinous crime.

What is the state of this world?
Is it all a grandeur lie?
We’ve lost all this time,
And we’ll all lose our life.
What is the state of this world
When it pertains to me?
Am I another species,
Searching only to see?

Am I another liar
On the run from the messiah?
I said I’d bow,
But that was before they shut the door.
What is the state of this world?

Are we chasing to be numb,
Fighting under thumbs?
Are we creating disaster?
Are we wrecking our fortune?
I knew when I met you
That we were all sent to torture.

What is the state of this world
When it pertains to me?
What is the state of this world?
One day, I will see.

The world is a construct,
A mental enclosure.
We search the Earth on over,
Only to see through a window.

A jaded perception,
Cannot understand existence.
We’ll love until we’re broken,
Go mad and flip the token.

Heads says we got it, and
Tails says we don’t.
Prejudice is subjective,
If you will or if you won’t—
It is better if you don't.
What is the state of this world?

I ask thee so, am I only a poet?
Or is there beauty in the fog
And no one knows it?
